FAQ
Common questions.
Everything you need to know about how GLŌBA works — for fans, artists, and promoters.
For fans
How much does a pledge cost?
Low by design — enough to show real intent, not pre-sell a ticket. The exact amount varies by artist and city.
When does my card get charged?
Only when a show is confirmed for your city. Until then nothing leaves your account — and if the threshold isn't reached, the hold releases automatically. No charge, no refund process needed.
What if my city doesn't hit the threshold?
Your pledge is fully released — it simply never settles. No action needed on your end.
What do I get as a pledger?
When a show confirms, pledgers get 48-hour early access to buy tickets before general sale opens — at a priority price. Depending on the artist, you may also get priority entry, limited merch access, or meet & greet opportunities.
Is my payment information secure?
Yes. Card details are handled entirely by Stripe — GLŌBA never stores your payment information directly.
For artists
Is GLŌBA only for Southern African artists?
For now, yes. Amapiano, Afrohouse, Gqom, Hip-hop & R&B, 3-Step — where we know the market, the diaspora, and the gap. The focus is intentional.
How do I get on the roster?
GLŌBA approaches artists directly — if your audience is out there, we come to you. That said, if you think there's a strong fit, you can submit an application and we'll take a look. Apply here.
What does GLŌBA handle for artists?
We handle demand-building, promoter outreach, ticketing, branding, and settlement. Visas, flights, and on-ground logistics can be handled by GLŌBA or the promoter — agreed upfront. You show up and perform.
How does the artist fee work?
The artist fee is agreed as part of the campaign and funded into escrow by the winning promoter before a show is publicly announced. Settlement is processed within 48 hours of the show.
For promoters
Do I have to use GLŌBA for everything?
No. GLŌBA always handles ticketing, branding, and settlement — beyond that, you choose. Full-service to booking-only. See the promoters page for the full breakdown.
How does the bid process work?
Once a city hits its pledge threshold, GLŌBA opens a competitive bid process. You submit a bid covering venue, production, local marketing, artist fee, and revenue terms. The best overall bid wins — not just the highest fee. See the how it works page for the full picture.
Which cities does GLŌBA currently operate in?
London, Birmingham, Manchester, and Dublin. We'll expand as demand confirms new markets.
How do I join the promoter network?
Apply via the promoter portal. We look for strong venue relationships, experience with live music or cultural events, and a local marketing network. Apply here.
